Big Island police seek public’s help in locating fugitive

HAWAII POLICE DEPARTMENT

Kahekili Krause

Hawaii County police alerted the public Wednesday evening that 18-year-old fugitive Kahekili John Krause, considered dangerous and possibly armed, was spotted in Ainaloa.

Krause was charged Wednesday with two counts of first-degree terroristic threatening and reckless driving, according to court records.

Krause, of Mountain View, reportedly was involved in a crash at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday in Ainaloa with a stolen Nissan Z.

Police said Krause fled with a female after the crash.

Police issued a wanted bulletin on Jan. 19, saying Krause was wanted for questioning about an incident that same day.

In that case, the driver of a stolen Honda sedan in the Hawaiian Beaches area in Puna allegedly drove toward a police officer who approached him in a marked subsidized patrol vehicle.

The officer was uninjured.

Krause is described as part Hawaiian, 6 feet tall, weighing 145 pounds with brown eyes and short, brown hair.

Anyone spotting Krause is asked to call police at 935-3311 or contact Detective Grant Todd at 961-2381 or Detective Dean Uyetake at 961-2379.

Anonymous tips may be made to CrimeStoppers at 961-8300.

    Krause BROTHERS…as in Plural.
Public Enemies #1 in East Hawaii. Remember, this family is also the ones who killed that haole guys and tossed his body up the STainback road. Two Krause (one Uncle, I think) already serving life sentences for that killing a few years back. These Krauses are the next ones to go down. Get them all!
