Man arrested for robbing Pawaa bank
Police arrested today a 56-year-old man suspected of robbing the Keeaumoku branch of Bank of Hawaii.
Police said the man entered the bank at 1451 S. King St. at 2:15 p.m. wielding a dangerous instrument and demanded money of the 21-year-old female teller.
The teller complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
He was found nearby at 2:38 p.m. and was arrested on suspicion of first-degree robbery.

where is bank security?
I have to agree with the article more than the headline, but I’m not sure “Keeaumoku” is much more accurate than “Pawaa”. Clearly it’s too far Ewa to be Pawaa. But Bishop and S. King is likewise too makai to be Keeaumoku, and a little far Ewa. You might call it “Punchbowl”, but actually the best descriptor would simply be “downtown”.
Interesting SA would give out the poor teller’s age.
