Power outage at Kailua wastewater plant may bring foul odor

The odor may be detectable until power is fully restored. It’s unknown how long that may be. Crews are on-site investigating the issue and portable generators have been brought to supply temporary power.

“May detect an odor…” Are you serious? That place smells like a backside on a normal day with power keeping the stink to a minimum. With a power outage and high winds, oh my gosh….!!!

Don’t all wastewater treatment plants have onsite diesel powered electric generators?
