Honolulu police detectives are looking for a man who robbed a person earlier this month in an apartment building in Makiki.

Police said the man entered the elevator with the victim in an apartment on Heulu Street at about 2:50 a.m. on Feb. 18.

When the victim left the elevator, the suspect put on a mask and robbed the victim at gunpoint.

“The victims started yelling and the suspect fled when other residents came out of their apartments,” police said.

Police have classified the incident as first-degree robbery and disseminated a photograph and video of the alleged suspect.

The suspect is described as 5-foot-8, 150 pounds, and in his 30s.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300.
