Police investigate bomb threat at Waikiki hotel
Police briefly closed Kalakaua Avenue this afternoon to investigate a bomb threat at the Moana Surfrider hotel.
Authorities began closing lanes for emergency vehicles at about 4:50 p.m. and completely closed the road from Seaside to Kaiulani avenues at about 5:10 p.m. The road was reopened a few minutes later.
Police said someone had called in the bomb threat.
A previous version of this story incorrectly said the hotel was evacuated.
