Rainbow Warrior baseball beats Oral Roberts
Jackson Rees pitched a seven-hitter to boost the University of Hawaii baseball team to a 6-4 victory over Oral Roberts in the Dairy Queen Classic in Minnesota.
Rees allowed four runs — none of them earned — and struck out four. Rees’ complete game came a day after Neil Uskali pitched a shutout.
The Rainbow Warriors went 3-1 in this road trip to improve to 6-5 overall.
UH catcher Kekai Rios, who overcame strep throat earlier in the week, hit his first home run of the season. Right-fielder Alex Fitchett hit a single, double and triple.
The ’Bows begin a four-game series against Sacred Heart Thursday at Les Murakami Stadium.
