Girl dies while swimming in Makaha
A 6-year-old girl died Saturday after running into trouble while swimming in Makaha, police said.
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s office identified her as Rema Esteras of Kalihi. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
Esteras became unresponsive while swimming at about 4:15 p.m., police said.
