Hawaii’s Japanese community celebrated the arrival of the cherry blossom with the coronation of the 65th Annual Blossom Festival Queen and her court at the Sheraton Waikiki on March 18. Heather Kiyomi Omori, a teacher at Daniel K. Inouye Elementary School and a graduate of Mililani High School and the University of Hawaii, was crowned queen.
