Kamehameha Hwy. reopened near Sunset Beach following crash
Emergency Medical Services reported that a 64-year-old woman was seriously injured tonight in a head-on collision on Kamehameha Highway in Sunset Beach.
Paramedics assessed, treated then transported the female driver of one of the vehicles to a hospital in serious condition at about 7:53 p.m. Tuesday. The second driver declined EMS treatment.
Police shut down the Kaneohe-bound lanes of the highway near Kumupali Road and rerouted Haleiwa-bound traffic onto Ke Iki Road. The roadway was reopened shortly before 9 p.m.
The accident was located at or near 59-615 Kamehameha Highway.
