Kauai man in custody after allegedly stabbing wife
A 37-year-old Hanamaulu man was in custody today after he stabbed his wife in the belly, Kauai police said.
The man attacked the 37-year-old woman with a knife at their home at about 6:25 p.m. Friday, police said.
The woman was taken to Wilcox Medical Center and was in stable condition.
The woman’s mother also sustained injuries in the incident and was treated at Wilcox and released.
Police arrested the man for investigation of second-degree attempted murder. He was being held in lieu of $500,000 bail.
