Makapuu diver dies after being pulled from water
A diver who was found unconscious in waters off of Makapuu over the weekend has died.
Police said he was pronounced dead at a hospital Monday. His name has yet to be released by the Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office.
At about 10:45 a.m. Sunday, the man, 42, was brought to shore by beachgoers after he was found unconscious in the water at Baby Makapuu.
Lifeguards performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation until firefighters and paramedics arrived and took him to the hospital.
