A 31-year-old man died Tuesday from injuries sustained in an accident while driving a motorcycle.

Honolulu police said the man was traveling north on Leokane Street and collided with a vehicle traveling east on Leonui Street in Waipahu.

The incident took place at about 10 a.m. Tuesday, and the man was initially listed in critical condition when transported to a hospital.

Police said speed appears to be a contributing factor in the accident.
