All lanes into Waikiki reopened after irrigation line break
All lanes going into Waikiki after the Piikoi Street intersection have reopened to motorists after an irrigation line break was fixed earlier today.
The break was reported about 10:24 a.m., according to city spokesman Andrew Pereira.
Board of Water Supply officials said the break was caused by a Hawaii Department of Transportation irrigation line feeding into the Ala Moana Boulevard median.
Traffic into Waikiki was backed up and was rerouted onto Piikoi Street, Pereira said.
