Maui duo charged in armed robbery

A 26-year-old Paia woman has been charged in connection with a gas station robbery in Pukalani.
Cianna Cruz Wallace was charged with first-degree robbery. Her bail was set at $250,000.
At about 9 p.m. on June 7, police said a woman entered the Chevron mini-mart, at 3425 Old Haleakala Highway, where she pointed a handgun at the cashier and demanded money.
Police said the woman left the store with cash and fled in a vehicle driven by a male.
Police arrested Wallace Friday.
The male driver, 36-year-old Desmond Puu of Makawao, was charged June 20 with first-degree robbery. Puu’s bail also was set at $250,000.
