Police investigate after girl taken to Wahiawa hospital with burns

Police opened an assault investigation Friday after a 2-year-old girl was taken to a hospital in Wahiawa with burns.
The girl was taken to the hospital and treated for burns on Aug. 18, police said. Officers opened an investigation for first-degree assault, a class B felony.
A 21-year-old woman was reported to be a suspect in the case, but she was not arrested Friday.
