Police arrested a 13-year-old boy after he and a group of other males allegedly stole beer from a convenience store in Kalihi.

At about 11:05 p.m. police said six males entered the establishment and stole beer. One of the suspects brandished an unspecified dangerous instrument at a 47-year-old store employee before they fled.

Shortly after, officers located one of the suspects, the 13-year-old boy, in Kalihi. Police said it’s unclear whether the juvenile was the suspect wielding the dangerous instrument.

The juvenile was arrested on suspicion of first-degree robbery.
