Purse snatchers stab woman in Hawaii Kai
Police are looking for two male suspects after a 27-year-old woman sustained a stab wound to her shoulder when the culprits attempted to steal her purse in Hawaii Kai.
Just before 2:20 a.m. Sunday, police said the victim and a 26-year-old man were walking home from a convenience store when the two suspects approached them from behind at the intersection of Pepeekeo Street and Pepeekeo Place.
The suspects attempted to grab the woman’s purse from her shoulder. Police said the victim held onto her purse and a struggle ensued when she sustained a stab wound to her left front shoulder.
The male victim sustained a three-inch cut to his back.
Police said the suspects fled without the purse.
