Police officers and secret service kept watch over the crowd that gathered along Kalakaua Ave. (looking down Kalaimoku) in hopes of seeing Pres. Trump who was going to stay at the Ritz Carlton Waikiki Beach (at 383 Kalaimoku St. on Kuhio Ave.). His staying in Waikiki presented heightened security, protests, traffic diversions and bewildered visitors. Onlookers on the corner of Kalakaua Ave. and Kalalimoku were hoping to get a glimpse of the president in Waikiki, but the presidential motorcade came down Kuhio Ave. instead.

Pres. Trump and his motorcade is leaving the Ritz Carlton Waikiki Beach (at 383 Kalaimoku St. on Kuhio Ave.). People line Kuhio Ave. to get a glimpse of the motorcade as it speeds by. There were hardly any protesters to be seen as I only saw 4 with signs all day. The guy holding a sign on the far left (that got cut off) says “E KOMO MAI PRESIDENT TRUMP.”
