A 40-year-old man has been charged with terroristic threatening after he allegedly threatened his wife in Waianae.

Fred M. Kiyabu was charged Tuesday with two counts of first-degree terroristic threatening. Bail has been set at $75,000.

At about 11:30 a.m. Monday, the suspect identified as Kiyabu violated a protective order and threatened his spouse, 36. Police said they are separated.

Kiyabu then took his wife’s unspecified property out of her hand and fled.

Police arrested him that afternoon on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening, violating a protective order and second-degree theft.
