Busy Friday ends active week for Honolulu police

A 61-year-old male suspect allegedly assaulted a 51-year-old male at 8:30 p.m. Friday with a dangerous instrument, according to a Honolulu police bulletin. The attack, which Honolulu police said occurred in Pearl City, caused “ substantial bodily injuries.”

According to the police bulletin, an unknown male walked into a business, brandished a “dangerous instrument” and demanded money. According to the police bulletin, the suspect fled with an “undisclosed amount of cash.”

Honolulu police arrested a 16-year-old male on Tuesday for allegedly assaulting a 62-year-old man, who worked for the state Department of Education (DOE).
