Man tried to hit officer with stolen vehicle, police say
Police arrested a 34-year-old man after he allegedly attempted to strike a police officer with a stolen vehicle in the Pawaa area.
Police said the suspect attempted to strike the officer on Kanunu Street at about 1:55 p.m. Wednesday. No serious injuries were reported.
Police arrested the suspect shortly after on suspicion of first-degree attempted murder on a law enforcement officer, unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle, two counts of violating supervised release, promotion of a dangerous drug in the third degree and criminal contempt of court.
