Marvel icon Stan Lee ‘feeling great’ after hospital stay
Comics fans had a scare Thursday when it was revealed that Marvel legend Stan Lee had been rushed to the hospital.
But Lee is already home and spoke with Los Angeles television station KABC about his condition in an interview Thursday night.
“All I really want to do is tell you that I’m feeling great,” Lee said.
TMZ first reported Lee’s hospitalization earlier Thursday, stating that Lee had been admitted for shortness of breath and an irregular heartbeat Wednesday night.
“I’m glad I spent that evening in the hospital. It did me a lot of good. It probably did my fans a lot of good. It kept me off their backs for the evening. But I’m feeling good now, and I can’t wait to get in there and tangle with all the competition,” Lee said in the interview.
At 95, Lee is a pop-culture icon. The former editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics had his hand in co-creating Spider-Man, the Hulk, Doctor Strange and many more and prides himself in making a cameo appearance in as many Marvel films as he can.
Lee was previously seen out and about Monday at the premiere for the latest Marvel release, “Black Panther.”
“It’s nice to know that somewhere in the world there are still people who care about what I say or do,” Lee said Thursday night.
