Red Hill woman arrested after fatal stabbing

Honolulu police arrested a 23-year-old woman early this morning in the Red Hill area after she allegedly stabbed a 24-year-old man who was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital.

A U.S. Marine Corps public affairs officer confirmed that the victim, Juan Iturbide, is a Marine stationed at Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe. The officer said more information would be released Tuesday.

A Honolulu Police Department official said the incident was reported by a detective as occurring at a home at 11:17 p.m. on Sunday.

The suspect was arrested at the scene at 12:15 a.m.
