Man charged in Mapunapuna robbery

Prosecutors charged a 37-year-old man today with second-degree robbery for robbing a 67-year-old man Sunday in Mapunapuna.

Daniel Holcombe was arrested at 2:46 p.m. Sunday, and charged today.

His bail was set at $25,000.

Police said the younger man demanded the older man’s property, who refused to comply.

That’s when the 37-year-old allegedly used force to take the property.

While the two were in a struggle, the victim fled and called police.

Officers caught Holcombe nearby and arrested him for two warrants and second-degree robbery.
