Firefighters put out early morning fire on Big Isle

Firefighters put out a structure fire early this morning in Hawaiian Paradise Park on the Big Island, according to the Hawaii County Fire Department.

A total of 20 firefighters responded to the 3:36 a.m. alarm at 15-1610 4th Ave. The fire was under control at about 4 a.m. and extinguished at 5:45 a.m.

Two individuals were injured, according to the fire department report. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
