    CRANE CHICK FINDS COMFORT ZONE: A Japanese crane chick nestles into its parent’s plumage to keep warm at the Japanese Crane Reserve in Kushiro, Japan. The chick is thought to have been born on May 1 and was first observed on May 3, according to Kushiro Zoo, which manages the reserve. The Japanese crane is designated by the government as a special natural monument.
