Kayaker found dead off Kaneohe is identified

A 69-year-old kayaker who died after he was found floating unresponsive in the ocean off of Kaneohe has been identified as Wesley Chang.

The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office said Chang, of Kaneohe, had drowned.

Police said fishermen found an unresponsive man later identified as Chang near his overturned kayak.

The Honolulu Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services responded.

Police said Chang was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no suspicious circumstances involved.
