Authorities search for missing OCCC work furlough inmate
The Hawaii Department of Public Safety and Honolulu police are seeking the public’s help in locating a 38-year-old work furlough inmate who failed to return to the Oahu Community Correctional Center Tuesday night.
Lyle Botelho failed to return to the correctional facility’s Module 20 work furlough housing by 8:30 p.m. Sheriffs and police were notified.
Botelho is 6 feet tall, approximately 275 pounds with black and grey hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of the name “Sabrina” on his neck.
Botelho is serving a sentence for second-degree methamphetamine trafficking. His next parole hearing was set for January.
Anyone who has information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Sheriff Division at 586-1352.
