Man, 54, dies after being struck by vehicle while lying in driveway
A 54-year-old man has died after he was struck by a vehicle while lying in a driveway in Honolulu Saturday evening.
Police said a vehicle driven by a 27-year-old man entered a private driveway off of Lauhala Street, near the Queen’s Medical Center, and struck the man at about 6:55 p.m. Saturday.
The victim, for unknown reasons, was lying in the middle of the driveway before the crash occurred, police said.
Paramedics treated the victim and took him in extremely critical condition to a hospital where he died.
Police said speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash.
