Part of Kaukonahua Road to close today for ‘Magnum’ stunt filming

    All travel lanes between the small section near the top of Kaukonahua Road will be closed to traffic as the production films scenes with stunt drivers.

Kaukonahua Road between Wilikina Drive and Kamananui Road in Wahiawa will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. today for the filming of CBS’s ‘Magnum P.I.,’ city officials said.

All travel lanes between the small section near the top of Kaukonahua Road will be closed to traffic as the production films scenes with stunt drivers. Special-duty police officers will be on-site.

City officials said the closure would not affect morning or afternoon peak travel times.

“The producers of ‘Magnum P.I.’ thank the people of Oahu for their kokua and support of Hawaii’s film industry,” the city said in a press release, adding that the show was just one of a number of high-profile projcts filming in the isles this year.
