Woman seriously injured after being struck by SUV while crossing Kalanianaole

UPDATE: 11:55 a.m.

Emergency Medical Services treated a 60-year-old woman after she was struck by a sport utility vehicle while she was crossing the roadway at the intersection of Kalanianaole Highway and Waa Street this morning, according to spokesman Dustin Malama.

She sustained shoulder injuries in the collision and was taken to a trauma center in serious condition.

9:25 a.m.

Police have reopened all westbound lanes of Kalanianaole Highway at Waa Street.

The pedestrian’s condition was not immediately available.
