A 29-year-old man has been charged for allegedly robbing another man after propositioning the victim for sex in a Sheraton Waikiki bathroom.

Lance Cedric P. Corpuz made his initial court appearance before Judge William Domingo at Honolulu District Court today after being charged with second-degree robbery. His bail is set at $11,000.

Police said the 60-year-old victim walked into the hotel restroom at about 10:55 p.m. Wednesday. While there, a suspect later identified as Corpuz, entered the bathroom and allegedly looked under the stall that the victim occupied and asked him to perform oral sex, according to prosecutors.

Police said when the victim told him to get out, Corpuz reached under the stall and grabbed the man’s bag. A struggle over the bag ensued and Corpuz allegedly ripped two diamond bracelets off the victim’s wrist.

Police said Corpuz fled with the man’s belongings, but the victim chased him and a good Samaritan detained him until police arrived.
