Body of man reported missing is found at Pali Lookout

Randy McKee Jr. was reported missing on Christmas Eve.

Honolulu firefighters recovered the body of a man at the Nuuanu Pali Lookout Thursday morning.

The body has been positively identified as Randy McKee Jr. who was reported missing on Christmas Eve, according to Sgt. Chris Kim of CrimeStoppers Honolulu.

The cause of death is pending.

Four units with 12 firefighters assisted police in the search for McKee at the Pali Lookout at approximately 8:20 a.m. Thursday.

A police helicopter and the fire department’s Air 1 helicopter were observed searching the area.

Honolulu Fire Spokesman Capt. Scot Seguirant said firefighters recovered the body at about 11:15 a.m.

Police said McKee was last heard from at about 1:25 a.m. on Dec. 24.

His vehicle was found in the parking lot at the lookout at approximately 7:45 a.m. that morning.
