Pair in stolen vehicle hit cars in Kaneohe
Police shut down one lane of Kamehameha Highway this afternoon in Kaneohe after a pair in a stolen vehicle struck multiple vehicles.
Police said the man and woman were in a stolen vehicle from the West Side and were unaware they were being followed by police.
When they got to Kaneohe, the realized they were being pursued and tried to escape, police said.
The stolen vehicle struck a few vehicles while trying to flee before coming to a stop in the middle of Kaneohe, and officers apprehended the man and woman, police said.
Police shut down one lane of Kamehameha Highway heading toward Windward Mall as well as Pua Inia Street, located off the highway and closer to Kaneohe Bay Drive.
