ʻIolani School wins Hawaii LifeSmarts State Competition
ʻIolani School won the 2019 Hawaii LifeSmarts State Competition on Saturday at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, according to a statement from the state Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs.
The game show-style competition tested students on their knowledge of personal finance, health and safety, the environment, technology and consumer rights and responsibilities.
ʻIolani will go on to represent the state at the National LifeSmarts Competition in Orlando, Fla. in April.
LifeSmarts is a free educational program created by the National Consumers League and sponsored by the state DCCA Office of the Securities Commissioner in partnership with the Hawaii Credit Union League.
