The two right lanes of Piikoi Street between Makaloa Street and Kapiolani Boulevard are closed due to a water main break near 629 Piikoi.

In addition, Makaloa is completely closed between Piikoi and Sheridan Street.

Approximately 29 apartment buildings, including residents of the Moana Pacific towers, and multiple businesses in the area were initially without water service. As of 12:30 p.m., BWS reports service has been restored to Moana Pacific residents, but approximately eight apartment buildings and an unknown number of businesses are still without water.

Two water wagons have been positioned at 1218 Makaloa Street and 640 Sheridan Street.

The break was first reported at approximately 4:45 a.m.

BWS crews completed repairs to an 8-inch water main break near 1777 Kanapuu Drive in Kailua this afternoon. Approximately 85 residential customers lost water service this morning. Water service was restored around 5 p.m.
