Suspected drunk driver arrested in Kalihi after crashing into HPD vehicle

Police arrested a 33-year-old male driver in Kalihi after he allegedly intentionally crashed into a Honolulu police officer’s vehicle during a traffic stop and then committed multiple violations before crashing again.

The man was arrested at 1:16 a.m. Wednesday on suspicion of multiple offenses, including first-degree criminal property damage, resisting an order to stop, reckless driving, excessive speed, drunk driving, driving without a license, no motor vehicle insurance and criminal contempt.
