Men arrested for Makaha shooting formally indicted

A Grand Jury formally indicted two men of attempted murder in the second degree following a Makaha fight that led to the death of a 39-year-old man.

The charges, made Wednesday, say that Brenon Nash, 28, and Sheysten Joseph, 19, each had and used a firearm during a large fight on the night of Nov. 20 at Makaha Valley Community Park.

About 20 males were involved in the fight, court documents show.

Micaiah McCullah, a father of seven children and a youth football coach, received gunshot wounds and was killed that night.

Another man who was shot at positively identified both Nash and Joseph, who said they had fired their guns at around 7:10 p.m.

Their charges are not linked to McCullah’s death.

Both were both given $500,000 aggregate bails, and have an arraignment and plea in state Circuit Court on Nov. 9.
