The fountains of Bellagio erupt along the Las Vegas Strip in Las Vegas. The NFL on Tuesday detailed its draft plans for April 23-25 on the city’s glittering Strip.

The NFL draft is coming to the Strip. The 2020 NFL Draft will launch at 2:30 p.m. on April 23 with the red carpet at the Bellagio fountains. The draftees will make their debuts on a stage that will be constructed on the lake, to which they be transported on boats. The main stage will be next to the new Caesars Forum conference center, where fans will view first-round selections on the evening of April 23, rounds 2 and 3 on April 24 and rounds 4-7 on April 25.

The main stage will host daily headliner performances, along with games, autograph sessions, giveaways and a pro shop. Road closures will cause traffic delays on the Strip, mostly between Bellagio and the LINQ, for 24 days before, during and after the draft. Some are predicting that it will be the biggest event ever in Las Vegas.

Chiefs favored: The Kansas City Chiefs are 1-point favorites over the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl. The line opened pick ’em (no favorite), but quickly swung toward the Chiefs. The game total opened at 51 and has settled at 54.5. The casinos are predicting that the betting handle in Nevada will exceed last year’s total of $145.9 million.

WoF jackpot: Last week a player at Excalibur hit for $5.5 million playing Wheel of Fortune. It was hit on a $5 WoF machine, which accounts for the size of the jackpot, one of the largest in several months.

EI tacos: Ellis Island, the off-Strip casino (located behind Bally’s) that’s known for it’s $7.99 steak special among several of Las Vegas’ best food deals, has opened a taco shop. Julio’s Tacos & Grill serves street tacos for $2.45 or “super tacos” for $3.85-$4.95. Check the boards for discounts on daily specials.

Question: Is there anything to the rumors that Tom Brady could sign with the Las Vegas Raiders next season?

Answer: Brady will become a free agent in March, at which time he’ll be free to sign with the Raiders. However, it’s considered a long shot. An offshore line makes it 3-1 that he’ll stay with the Patriots, so it’s probably a 10-1 shot that he’d move to the Raiders.
