Lanikai beach was bustling with visitors on Saturday.
Tourist stopped to take pictures at the entrance of Lanikai in Kailua on Saturday afternoon.
Claudia Egidio posed for a photo taken by her sister Alex at Lanikai Beach on Saturday. The siblings were visiting Oahu for the first time with their family from Houston, Texas.
“We’re leaving today. Everything is closing down,” said Alex who added, “There’s no words to describe the beauty of Hawaii.”
Honolulu police officers were on watch at the parking entrance of Kailua Beach Park. “It’s like trying to stay dry while standing in the rain,” said one of the officers about keeping the beachgoers away from closed parks due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Vehicles followed in queue down Mokulua Drive in Lanikai on Saturday. The neighborhood and beach with bustling with visitors.
Yuka Fukuda posed as Hajime Onozato took a photo at Lanikai Beach on Saturday. The pair were visiting from Tokyo.
