Paul Brown made social distancing and safety changes to his Ward Centre salon on Wednesday to prepare for reopening. Gov. David Ige approved Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell’s proposal to safely reopen more businesses on Oahu on Friday that includes hair salons, barber shops and tattoo parlors.

Brown has 22 stylists working in the main salon area, but he'll reduce that down to seven. He will also open a new pop-up location next door, specifically because of COVID-19, so stylists have more space for clients to adhere to social distancing.
