Kalakaua Open Streets event extended through July

Kevin Mews and his granddaughter Michaela Jenny, 10, who donned a Darth Vader helmet, paused on their 49er themed ’71 Schwinn tandem during the Kalakaua Open Streets in Waikiki on Sunday. The City and County of Honolulu along with the Hawaii Bicycling League has brought this event to the public which allows people to bike, skate, walk and jog on a portion of Kalakaua Avenue between Seaside and Kapahulu Avenues on Sundays from 6:00 a.m. to noon. The event, which started last month, has been extended through the month of July.
