Woman, 65, drowns after struggling in water in Nimitz area

A 65-year-old woman died after she was pulled unresponsive from waters in the Nimitz area early Saturday morning, Honolulu police said.

A witness called 911 around 2 a.m. after seeing the woman struggling in the water and tried to help, police said.

Firefighters pulled the woman out of the water, but she could not be revived.
