A woman is in critical condition after hitting a curb and getting ejected from her motorcycle during a turn onto a freeway in Kailua late Monday morning.

Honolulu police said at about 11 a.m. Monday, the woman, who was riding solo on the motorcycle, was heading southwest on Kaneohe Bay Drive when she overshot a wide turn to get onto the H-3 freeway on-ramp.

She collided with the curb, was ejected, and hit her head on the roadway, police said. She was transported to Queen’s Medical Center in critical condition.

Police said, at this time, speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the collision.
