Water main repair completed on Moanalua freeway

The Honolulu Board of Water Supply completed a water main repair on Moanalua freeway Wednesday night.

BWS announced today that the paving of the 42-inch main has been completed and anticipates the right lane and Ahua Street exit to be open Friday morning.

Pavement striping will be done at a later date, which will require the closure of the right lane.

A contractor, Hensel Phelps, damaged a 42-inch transmission main in June while tunneling under the freeway to get to a new sewer line.
