2 swimmers in distress rescued near China Walls

Two swimmers in distress at China Walls were rescued by Honolulu Fire Department personnel this evening.

HFD received a call about the distressed swimmers at 7:19 p.m. and conducted a rapid shoreline search as well as an aerial search via Air 1. They made visual contact with the swimmers at 7:29 p.m. and were brought to shore at 7:42 p.m. near the Two Fingers surf spot.

The female swimmer suffered minor injuries, and the male swimmer had no injuries.
