If it wasn’t for Title IX, I wouldn’t haven’t gotten the athletic scholarship for Wahine basketball,” said McKenna, who was one of the first women to play at the University of Hawaii. “If you were to ask me about Title IX, where it is has made the most difference, it is for allowing women to be admitted into areas where women were excluded from.”
