A state judge sentenced Albert Agoot yesterday to 20 years in prison for abducting a 13-year-old girl, binding her with duct tape and raping her in his pickup truck in the driveway of his parents’ Foster Village home.

Agoot, 20, pleaded guilty in August to kidnapping, robbery and multiple counts of sexual assault. The robbery charge was for taking the girl’s cell phone so she couldn’t call for help.

Deputy City Prosecutor Thalia Murphy said the girl is still affected by what happened to her in April. Murphy said the girl is afraid to go out at night and is angry.

Murphy said she agreed to the 20-year sentence as part of a plea deal to spare the girl from having to testify in trial. Circuit Judge Glenn Kim accepted the plea agreement.

Authorities said Agoot called the girl on her cell phone and told her that a boy, over whom the girl had a crush, was in a hospital dying of cancer. The story was false.

The girl agreed to let Agoot pick her up to take her to the hospital. Instead, he drove her down the street, choked and threatened her.

Agoot used tape to bind the girl’s hands behind her back and to cover her eyes. He took her to Foster Village, where he raped her outside his parents’ home.

The girl told police that as Agoot was raping her, he repeatedly hit her on the back of her head, told her he had a gun, and threatened to shoot and kill her. When Agoot went into the house for a drink of water, the girl escaped and ran down the street to her home, naked from the waist down and with her hands still bound behind her back.
