LAS VEGAS>> A Nevada judge has agreed to accept new robbery charges against a 29-year-old Las Vegas man suspected of dashing into the posh Bellagio casino on the Las Vegas Strip and making off with $1.5 million in chips.

Judge Ann Zimmerman accepted an amended criminal complaint in a Las Vegas courtroom Wednesday that adds two charges of robbery with a deadly weapon to the mound of charges already facing Anthony Carleo.

Carleo’s lawyer, William Terry, objected to the new charges.

Carleo previously faced charges of armed robbery, assault, burglary and carrying a concealed weapon for allegedly storming into the casino in December with a gun and demanding the chips.

Carleo appeared in court Wednesday for a preliminary hearing where a Bellagio valet supervisor recounted the high-profile, but poorly planned heist.
