Police say teenager attacked officer in Kailua
A 17-year-old boy tackled and punched an officer several times last night in Kailua, police said.
The officer, a 34-year-old man, went to the boy’s home shortly after 10 p.m. because of an argument and was attacked and injured by the boy, police said.
Additional officers were able to subdue the boy after a brief struggle. He was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest and later released pending investigation.
